On arrival, each guest receives the free AchenseeCard (= gratis visitor card, year-round). The card allows free travel on the regional bus service and free use of cross-country ski tracks, plus you receive discounts for the steam cog railway, the ships of the Achenseeschifffahrt and various museums.
The Achensee Holiday Card (May to October) is available for a one-off fee from the tourist information offices and cable car cash desks. The card allows unlimited use of/visits to: regional bus service, steam cog railway, Achensee ships, Karwendel and Rofan cable cars, various museums & attractions.
